Summer on the Lake at Cornerstone Cabin in Siren, Wisconsin

Hear that? Nothing. Just water, birds and a really good morning.

Summer at Cornerstone Cabin starts with coffee on the dock. It ends around the firepit, with sticky marshmallow fingers and someone telling the same ghost story as last year.

Life on the water

The cabin is lakefront, on a private lake with no public access, and has its own dock. With no public boat traffic, the water is perfect for calm-water fun: fishing off the dock, kayaking, paddleboarding and lounging on the floating lily pad. Kayaks, paddleboards and the lily pad are included with your stay, so you can head out on the first morning.

Room to roam

The cabin sits on 25 acres, with plenty of room for a game of tag or a hunt for the biggest pinecone.

Eat dinner on the screened porch, settle into an Adirondack chair, or gather around the firepit after dark. And yes, the hot tub is just as good on a cool summer night.

The hot tub

The hot tub sits just outside the cabin, tucked among the trees. Soak after a long day on the water, or slip in after the firepit and look up at the stars.
